Your Museum Cafe

Baby Dines Out is delighted to support a new campaign by Kids In Museums to encourage museums across the UK to improve their dining facilities for families.

Lots of families have told Kids in Museums that a visit to the café is an important part of their museum experience and they want to feel welcome in the whole museum. So, Kids in Museums is going to help museums and galleries to extend their family friendly values to their cafés and restaurants.

Your views on museum café s are highly important in order to produce guidelines for family friendly museum café s that meet everyone’s needs – families, museums and their cafés. Please help to shape these guidelines by clicking on and sharing your views in our short survey for visitors.

If improved facilities are important to you please do take the time to complete the survey – it only takes a couple of minutes.  The survey closes on 1st November so do it quick!

As a parent of two children under 2, I spend a lot of time at parks and play groups. Whilst these activities are great for my children, Olivia (24 months) and Oskar (7 months), I occasionally crave for something not involving sand or swings. So, in order to feed my desire for something more, earlier this summer we went to Hampton Court Palace (‘HCP’). You may not automatically think that a historic royal palace is a fitting place for two under 2s, but think again
