Goats on the Roof, Fontburn, Northumberland

Goats on the roof is quite a long drive for us to get to as it’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by stunning scenery – including the Fontburn reservoir. We’ve been twice now and will certainly be going back. Goats on the roof actually does have goats on the roof. They get up and down by a ladder on the side of the building. I think that’s the main attraction really, for novelty value. The building is purpose built, all out of wood with a ramp for buggies and wheelchairs, or stairs if you’d prefer. There’s plenty of parking spaces

Stewart & Co, Morpeth, Northumberland

Stewart & Co. at Meldon Park is an amazing child-friendly food-loving garden-enjoying find on the way to Wallington Hall from Morpeth.
